Residents of street 26-A (between 35 and 37), in the municipality of Tixcocob, were very frightened when they found a one and a half meter long crocodile in front of their door.

The encounter took place on the night of Friday June 21, when the residents of Tixcocob heard their dog barking insistently and in a strange manner.

They immediately notified the municipal police and the officers took charge of capturing the animal.

The specimen was protected and immediately handed over to the staff of the Secretariat of the Environment and Natural Resources (Semarnat), for rapid release into its natural habitat.
