Google may soon introduce AI chatbots inspired by celebrities and influencers: Tech : Tech Times

Google’s artificial intelligence chatbots mimicking well-known figures such as celebrities and influencers could soon become a reality after reports surfaced that the tech giant is experimenting with a possible AI venture.

Google is reportedly trying to partner with influencers in addition to celebrities. The company’s Gemini family of giant language models will power the company’s celebrity chatbots. Google is also reportedly developing a tool that would allow users to design their chatbots by describing their personality and appearance.

According to reports, it is unclear which influencers or celebrities Google would collaborate with. Additionally, Google’s bots may just be a test; the article suggests that the bots might not be available anywhere other than Google Labs, the company’s website for beta products.

Employees reportedly discussed the introduction of new chatbots this year. These projects have not been made public before, but tech companies are trying to figure out how to integrate the amazing developments in generative artificial intelligence into applications that will captivate users.

Gemini Push from Google

Therefore, more Android phones could now use Gemini in Google Messages, which is currently accessible in over 165 countries. Beyond its original release on Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy smartphones, Google has expanded the availability of its Gemini AI feature in Google Messages to a wider range of Android phones.

Gemini, previously exclusive to well-known smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy S22 series and the Google Pixel 6, 7 and 8, is now available on Android phones. Gemini’s welcome message, for example, would be visible to owners of the Infinix Note 40 Pro 5G, suggesting wider distribution.

Gemini in Gmail

As part of this broader Google AI push, Gemini will now be accessible through Gmail on iOS and Android devices through several features. Until now, the main AI function in mobile Gmail was “Help me write”.

In Gmail, the “Summarize this email” button powered by Gemini will now be displayed below the subject line. It only appears as a Gemini sheet sliding down the page in email conversations with “more than 2 replies”. While Google will offer Gmail Q&A and Contextual Smart Reply the following month, the full version will be available in the coming weeks.

On the other hand, Gemini 1.5 Pro side panel for Gmail Online allows users to post questions, summarize threads, collect particular information from files or Google Drive emails in their inbox reception and suggest responses. Given that Gemini had been heavily hyped over the previous months, its integration with Gmail was expected.

Using multimodal AI technology, Google has also improved its browser and search engine, providing a new way to use generative search. With Gemini, customers can quickly introduce web content, like AI Overview, and have customizable options for further personalization.
