The Lain exhibition on VR serial experiences includes the Lain Room

An online exhibition for Lain serial experiments is available via VRChat. The June 24, 2024 update added Lain’s Room as a location you can explore. (Thanks, 4Gamer!)

This exhibition is part of a campaign to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the series. It began on June 20, 2024, and every Monday there will be a new area to explore. The aim of the exhibition is to allow visitors to experience for themselves the bizarre and disturbing worldview of Lain serial experiments. In addition to Lain’s room, you can experience a hallway filled with spooky scenes, as well as a display tower of all of Lain’s scenes. Besides just looking at things, the exhibit also has an interactive element, such as switches you can press.

You can access the Bizarre Exhibition for the 25th anniversary of Lain serial experiments using the access link from this Tweet:

Lain serial experiments began as an animated series, airing from July to September 1998. A video game was released in 1998 and a manga was released in 1999. It follows the story of Lain, who is an awkward introvert. She receives an email from a deceased student who tells her about the Wired, a virtual realm for which she abandoned her physical body. Lain serial experiments was well received and remains an influential work even years after its initial release.

You can look Lain serial experiments on Crunchyroll.
