Cancellation of NEET: SP youth wing demands cancellation of NEET | Lucknow News

Lucknow: Hundreds of youth under the aegis of Samajwadi Chhatra Sabha staged a protest demanding cancellation of NEET exam following question paper leak. Holding placards reading: “BJP sarkar low hai, saare paper leak hai” and “Ek desh, ek maang, raddh ho NEET exam”, the youth gathered at the SP office and headed towards Vidhan Bhawan where they were chased away by the police. Led by state president Vineet Kushwaha, the SCS members sat on a dharna and continued to raise anti-government slogans. The police arrested the protesters and took them to an ecological garden. Among those arrested were Pooja Shukla who had contested the 2022 assembly elections on the SP ticket. Protesters said the paper leaks were a waste of students’ work and resources. Later, the protesters submitted a memorandum addressed to the governor to police officials. “There is a lot of anger among students over rigging in NEET exams. More than 24 lakh students will be affected,” said SP spokesperson Rajendra Chaudhary. SP president Akhilesh Yadav earlier tweeted: “Public is saying that instead of canceling so many exams, it is better for the BJP government to be canceled (reading rejected). »
