Red Mill! the Musical Announces Second Tour Dates and Details

The spectacular will spend several months at each location

Red Mill! Musical comedy is set to embark on a world tour in 2025 – and a second UK leg has been revealed.

The hit series is based on the popular turn-of-the-century film about a Parisian courtesan who falls in love with a writer. It starred Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman. At the 74th Academy Awards, he was nominated for eight Academy Awards and won two.

The new production will launch in the UK and travel internationally, premiering at the Edinburgh Playhouse. It will run at the venue from April 25 to June 14, 2025. The West End production will simultaneously continue its run at the Piccadilly Theatre. Following its run in Edinburgh, it was revealed today that the show will open in Bristol, where it will run from June 26 to August 9, 2025. Tickets for the Bristol Racecourse season will be available soon.

The London cast is currently led by Tanisha Spring (groundhog day) as Satine (having previously alternated roles) and Dom Simpson (The Book of Mormon) as a Christian, alongside Matt Rixon (Hairspray) like Harold Zidler, Ian Carlyle (Porgy and Bess) like Toulouse-Lautrec and Ben Richards (Emmerdale) like the duke.

Joining them on stage are Ivan De Freitas (& Juliet) like Santiago and Charlotte Gooch (Dirty dance) like Nini, with Anthony Cragg (Starlight Express) as Doll, Hannah Jay Allan (Magnificent – ​​The Carole King Musical) like Arabia, Rochelle Sherona (Joseph and the Incredible Technicolor Dreamcoat) like Arabia (maternity cover), Bernadette Bangura (My beautiful lady) as the Chocolate And Angela Marie Hurst (Tina – The Tina Turner Musical) as an alternative Satine.

Directed by Alex Timbers, Red Mill! Musical comedy has a book by John Logan, choreography by Sonya Tayeh and musical supervision, orchestrations and arrangements by Justin Levine. The design team includes Derek McLane (sets), Catherine Zuber (costumes), Justin Townsend (lighting), Peter Hylenski (sound), David Brian Brown (wig and hair design), and Sarah Cimino (makeup design). The casting is provided by Pippa Ailion and Natalie Gallacher.
