Jonathan Van Ness breaks silence on Queer Eye drama

Jonathan Van Ness breaks his silence on allegations of abusive behavior on the set of the Netflix show strange eye.

The 37-year-old personal care expert, who uses they pronouns, was the subject of rolling stone an investigation revealed that they had “anger issues” which caused tension within the group, leading to the departure of bandmate Bobby Berk.

While Van Ness has yet to respond to the allegations, which also called them a “monster,” they have now delivered their verdict on the removal, saying the report “isn’t really based in reality.”

Speaking to singer Jessie Ware on the Table manners podcast, Van Ness broke their silence by describing the impact the accusations have on their personal lives.

“There was this article that was written about Strange Eye and me in March, but all our strange eye The family first heard about the article in December,” they began.

“I went from this bankruptcy to this point in time, oh, there’s someone who’s going to write an investigative takedown, like an expose article on you that’s not really based in reality, but which can certainly take a lot of things out of context to make something look as bad as possible.

“So from January to March, I was walking on eggshells, wondering: When is this going to happen? And then it finally happened.

The TV personality said it made them think about their reliance on external validation through social media and Netflix fame.

“One thing it taught me was that I had gained so much self-esteem from social activities and my job that I didn’t really think I got that much out of it,” they continued .

The series first gained attention following the departure of veteran actor Bobby Berk, who said he left the series of his own accord. However, Tan France, another actor, suggested Berk was fired in an interview earlier this year. Berk has not responded to the allegation.
