Trophy Sized Bass Caught on Ramsey Lake

The Irish Anglers youth fishing team had some luck on Lake Ramsey last week, where two trophy-sized bass were landed.

Drew Wurm and teammate Adler Chlan took first place at Sunday night’s outing, June 16, with Wurm’s trophy-sized 18-inch bass.

The team of Henry Halloran and Ethan Helmbrecht finished second with Halloran’s two basses (15 ½ inches and 14 inches) and the team of Brenden Luedtka and Brody Sigler finished third. Luedtka’s 17 ¼-inch bass earned the team points.

On Wednesday, June 19, another group of anglers headed out to Ramsey Lake to try their hand at fishing. The team of Hayden and Henry Pagel won first place with four basses. Hayden’s 19-inch bass was large enough to be recognized by the team as trophy-sized. He also mounted a 17 ¼ inch bass and a 15 inch bass. Henry earned the team some points with his 13-inch bass.

The team of Hans Peterson and Drake Strzyzewski finished second Wednesday. Peterson caught a 14 ½-inch bass, a 13-inch bass and a 12-inch bass. Strzyzewski threw a 14-inch bass and a 12-inch bass.

Third place went to the team of Ethan Erdahl and Dalton Kuperus. Erdahl caught a 21 ½-inch northern and Kuperus caught three bass – one 15-inch and two 12-inchers.
