New dates announced after exam cancellation

The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Friday revealed the revised timetable for the UGC-NET exam 2024. According to an NTA notification released on Friday, the exam is now rescheduled between August 21 and September 4.

The UGC-NET June 2024 round examination, which was earlier conducted in paper and pen (offline) mode, will now be administered as a computer-based test (CBT), according to the notification.

Moreover, the computer-based test for NCET 2024 is scheduled for July 10, 2024 and the joint CSIR-UGC NET exam will be held from July 25 to 27, 2024. Meanwhile, the All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) 2024 will be conducted as scheduled on July 6, 2024.

Regarding the UGC-NET document leak case, the UGC-NET 2024 exam for selection of young researchers, assistant professors and doctoral students was conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on June 18. The exam was held at 1,205 centers across 317 cities, with participation of over 11 lakh candidates.

However, the exam was canceled the next day after Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced that the question paper had been leaked on the darknet. The case was later handed over to the CBI for investigation.
