Nintendo of America has reset its Switch Online free trial offer

A new seven-day trial for Switch Online is currently being offered by Nintendo of America.

While the promotion is not open to current subscribers, it is available to players who have already taken advantage of a free trial offer.

Nintendo Switch Online normally costs $3.99 for a one-month subscription, $7.99 for a three-month subscription, and $19.99 for a 12-month subscription.

The free trial will automatically convert to a one-month auto-renewing subscription unless auto-renew is turned off before it ends.

Free trial users will have access to online play in supported Nintendo Switch titles, be able to use voice chat via the smartphone app, and have the ability to back up save files to the cloud in compatible games.

They will also be able to test the Switch Online library, made up of more than 100 NES, SNES and Game Boy games.

Other classic game libraries (Nintendo 64, Sega Mega Drive/Genesis, and Game Boy Advance) are only available with the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pass.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and Four Swords, Metroid Zero Mission, Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, and Perfect Dark were added to Switch Online in June, as were all five Game Boy entries in the Mega Man series.
