Director Nikhil Nagesh Bhat reveals that a personal incident inspired him to make Kill

Action thriller Kill director Nikhil Nagesh Bhat responds to his film being hailed as the ‘most violent film of all time’. The film, which is scheduled to release on July 5, 2024, is backed by Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment.

In an interview with a leading media portal, Nikhil revealed how his personal experience inspired him to make this film: “In 1994-95, as a student, I was travelling in the sleeper class on the Bombay Janta Express from Patna to Pune. One night, I was jolted awake as the train stopped at a small station. I noticed that we were not at Allahabad, the scheduled stop. News then spread that the air-conditioned carriages were being stolen! In my carriage, a group of soldiers from Danapur were laughing, convinced that they would have prevented any attempt to steal our sleeper carriage. That incident stayed with me for years.”

The film follows the story of a soldier who turns into a killing machine after his girlfriend is kidnapped. The film stars debutante Lakshya Lalwani, Tanya Maniktala and Raghav Juyal in pivotal roles.
