BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A traffic stop in Baton Rouge ended with the arrest of a suspected drug dealer.

On June 28, Baton Rouge Police Department patrol officers observed an illegally tinted black sedan traveling north on North Foster Drive. Officers conducted a routine traffic stop. As officers approached the vehicle, officers smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

The driver, later identified as Larry Paul, 29, of Baton Rouge, was asked to exit the vehicle. After exiting the vehicle, officers discovered a clear bag containing suspected marijuana on the driver’s seat. Patrol officers searched Paul and found two small bags of marijuana in his pocket.
