Siblings reveal how they saved Jordan Bleimeyer from Harry Potter room

WARNING – SHOCKING IMAGES: The siblings of a five-year-old boy who was starved, locked in a closet and forced to wear a diaper have revealed they gave him food to help him stay alive.

Tammi Bleimeyer forced her stepson Jordan, now nine, to sleep in the “Harry Potter room” of her Houston, Texas, home — a crawl space with exposed nails and wires and a solitary mattress.

When he was found, he was “near death” and compared to a Holocaust survivor.

His siblings Allison and Cody now remember the moment they opened the closet and called the police, saving his life.

Cody said he “freaked out” when he opened the closet one day and saw the state Jordan was in.

“His face was all bruised, there were bruises everywhere, marks all over him,” he told The Sun Online.

“He was foaming at the mouth. I’ve never seen anything so horrible in my life.

“If we hadn’t gotten him out that day, I don’t think he would have survived.”

Cody said he handed Jordan over to his sister Allison to comfort him while he called the police.

“It was like I wasn’t holding anything in my arms. He was so light, it wasn’t like I was holding a child at all. He was so white, his cheeks were sunken and he smelled bad. It was just horrible,” Allison said.

The boy weighed only 13 kg

Before the couple could muster the courage to save Jordan, she and Cody had to steal bread from their younger brother behind their mother’s back.

Cody said that on the day of the rescue in 2014, his parents were furious that he had opened the closet door without their permission.

He said that after seeing the appalling conditions the boy was being held in, he had to save him.

Doctors say he was on the verge of death when he was rescued and weighed only 13 kg. They compared his condition to that of a Holocaust survivor.

Authorities became aware of the abuse after her 16-year-old son reported her in March 2014.

Tammi, who was six months pregnant at the time, fled, taking Jordan with her.

She was eventually found at a nearby motel.

Jordan was covered in bruises when he was picked up by police.

An expert told the court that Jordan had suffered “severe physical abuse and chronic starvation” and was close to death.

He was only allowed one slice of bread a day – which could be taken away if he did not eat it quickly enough – and could not eat with the rest of the family.

Jordan was also drugged by his parents to prevent him from complaining if guests came to the house in the spring.

Jordan’s father, Bradley Bleimeyer, was convicted of the same charges as his wife in 2016 and sentenced to 15 years in prison.

The stepmother was sentenced to 28 years in prison after a 10-day trial and two of her biological children came forward to testify against her.

One of them told the court he would “never be the same emotionally” because of the trauma caused by the abuse.

Jordan is now nine years old and has been reunited with his biological mother.
