Ederson ‘agrees personal terms’ with Saudi Pro League side after receiving eye-popping contract offer

Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson has reportedly reached a personal agreement with one of Saudi Arabia’s biggest clubs after being offered a spectacular two-year deal.

The 30-year-old Brazil international, who joined City from Benfica in 2017 for around £35million, has made more than 300 appearances for the reigning Premier League champions.

During that time he won six league titles, two FA Cups and the Champions League under Pep Guardiola, who Ederson recently described as the greatest football manager of all time.

“Pep is like a GPS,” he explains. “You put in the address and it gives you the alternatives and the best one for us. Then you follow, follow and follow again.”

“Pep is the best of all time and I think he lives football 24 hours a day, it’s incredible.”

However, after spending seven trophy-laden seasons in Manchester, it now appears the Brazilian goalkeeper could leave England this summer.

In fact, Ederson has reached a personal agreement with Saudi Pro League team Al Nassr, according to the journalist Gianluigi Longariwho claims that negotiations will now open with Manchester City.

Al Nassr are currently looking for a new goalkeeper after first-choice goalkeeper David Ospina left the Riyadh-based club at the end of his contract.

And unsurprisingly, they are willing to spend money to achieve it.

Al Nassr have made Ederson an offer worth €60m (£51m) over two years, according to Cesar Luis Merlowhich translates to around £490,000 per week.

Al Nassr were one of the busiest clubs in last summer’s transfer window, signing Otavio, Sadio Mane, Aymeric Laporte, Seko Fofana, Marcelo Brozovic and Alex Telles.

Mane, however, could be set to leave the club this summer. Daily MailAl Nsssr will listen to offers for the former Liverpool and Bayern Munich striker.

The Red Devils, meanwhile, are considering signing Aston Villa player Moussa Diaby as his replacement. Diaby was linked with a move to Saudi Arabia before joining the Premier League side for a fee believed to be worth £51.9m.
