Milton man arrested on multiple warrants, provides false information during traffic stop

MILTON — Vermont State Police apprehended a 40-year-old man wanted on multiple warrants after a routine traffic stop on Interstate 89 North on July 3.

Eric Badore of Colchester was identified as a passenger in a vehicle stopped for speeding at mile marker 101.8 at approximately 1:20 p.m.

Known to have active arrest warrants, Badore attempted to mislead police by providing a false name and date of birth.

The arrest warrants for Badore included charges of home improvement fraud and parole violation in Franklin County, with bail set at $1,000.

In Chittenden County, he was charged with grossly negligent driving resulting in serious injury and driving under the influence of alcohol resulting in injury, carrying a $10,000 bond.

Additionally, a charge of retail theft in Washington County set his bail at $200.

After being taken into custody for providing false information and on outstanding arrest warrants, Badore was incarcerated at the Northwestern State Correctional Facility, unable to post the combined $13,200 bail.

He was served with a summons to appear in court on the above charges at a later date.
