ULYSSES, Neb. — A man who escaped from Lincoln Regional Center is back in custody after an Independence Day chase straight out of an action movie.

Justin Daro, 47, was arrested Thursday in southeast Nebraska.

The Nebraska State Patrol said Daro, who had been missing since Tuesday, was found at a residence in the town of Ulysses in Butler County.

Authorities told News Channel Nebraska that Daro fled in a vehicle heading south, eventually stopping near a railroad crossing south of Highway 34.

The NSP told NCN that Daro then got on a stopped coal train and began running over the train’s carriages.

A police officer used a bean bag projectile to stop Daro and he was arrested on the roof of the train.
