Cedar Rapids Animal Control Waives Adoption Fees for 45 Cats and Dogs

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – On Friday, Cedar Rapids Animal Control announced that all of the shelter’s dogs and 23 of its cats are adoption fee-free.

Shelter staff said a generous donation allowed them to waive boarding fees for all dogs and some cats who have been there for several months. The other cats are only charged a $25 fee for the month of July.

The shelter says its free pet pantry is available for those who need help keeping pets in their homes.
