Inter Milan make higher offer to Real Betis for young defender

Inter Milan have made a higher offer to Real Betis to sign young defender Alex Perez.

This is reported in today’s print edition of the Milanese newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNewsThe newspaper reports that the Nerazzurri have increased their offer to a €3 million purchase option, and expect a response soon.

Inter have been working for a few weeks to try to sign Perez.

The Spaniard is only eighteen years old and has yet to make a first-team appearance for Betis.

However, Inter have identified Perez as a player for the future.

The Nerazzurri’s plan would be to have Perez play in the Primavera or U19s first. He could then join the first team in the coming years.

Naturally, time would be on Perez’s side in this regard.

Inter are planning to sign Perez on an initial season-long loan deal, allowing him to test out their youth team. There would then be an option to make the loan deal permanent.

So far, Betis have rejected offers from Inter. They expect a higher amount for a transfer Perez.

But according to Gazzetta, Inter have made a new offer for the 18-year-old.

The newspaper reports that the Nerazzurri are now offering a season-long loan deal for Perez, which would include the option to sign him permanently for a fee of €3 million.

Inter are optimistic that Betis will accept this latest offer.

And the response from the Spanish club should not be long in coming.

La Gazzetta reports that Inter are expecting Betis’ response to their offer in the next day or two.

The Nerazzurri are hoping to complete Perez’s medical in the coming week.
