The Bullis School student earned his ticket to the 2024 Paris Olympics, becoming the youngest American to do so. En route to Paris, he broke Erriyon Knighton and Jim Ryun’s records. Although Wilson missed out on the individual 400m event, the teenager will surely make America proud in the 400m relay.

Lee started coaching with just a few parents who signed up as volunteers. But over the years, Lee began receiving more help from school officials.

In 2024, Joe Lee’s team is thriving, with 12 members at his disposal. The investments made by the Bullis School administration have certainly paid off. Since 2014, the school has won 14 conference championships. This shows the level of credibility Joe Lee has. With the Olympic excitement growing every day in the United States, Bullis School is in the spotlight.

This is where 16-year-old Quincy Wilson trained alongside Joe Lee. But Wilson isn’t Lee’s only star pupil. He does a great job off the track, in the classroom and on the track, so we’re very proud of him.” While it’s uncertain whether Wilson will ultimately make the main relay team, that doesn’t seem to dampen Coach Lee’s enthusiasm.
