Meet the Cast of Disney World’s New Country Bear Musical Jamboree

Meet the Cast of Disney World’s New Country Bear Musical Jamboree

Here’s a sneak peek at the full cast for the new Country Bear Musical Jamboree, which opens at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom on July 17, 2024.

Ursus H. Bear

After an inspiring hibernation, Ursus H. Bear decided to create a permanent cultural venue dedicated to America’s musical heritage. In 1898, Ursus created Grizzly Hall where the honey magnate turned impresario invited tuneful musicians to perform zany and captivating performances in a show that quickly became known as a wild and wooly time of fun!

Henry

Years later, Ursus’ grandson Henry took over and is now the master of the bear-emonies. He even helped develop the current show and co-wrote the opening song with the Five Bear Rugs.

Henry

Five Bears Rug

Speaking of the Five Bear Rugs, there’s Zeke and Zeb and Ted and Fred and a bear named Tennessee, and they all play with a real country beat.

Trixie

One of the Country Bears’ most experienced performers is the one and only Trixie. After trying everything, she finally found her calling. Now, fans can catch her singing with triplets Bunny, Bubbles and Beulah.

Trixie

Bunny, Bubbles and Beulah

Originally known as The Sun Bonnets, these girls recently gave back their Stetsons bonnets when they began performing with Trixie around the world, including a sold-out concert at the Royal Ursa Hall.

Teddi Barra

Trixie is not to be outdone by Teddi Barra, the pearl of the Dakotas. Her rise in show business was meteoric after being discovered in an ice cream parlor.

Wendell

Wendell, meanwhile, was a frustrated basketball, baseball, and football player until Henry invited him to try singing a song, and he’s been part of the Country Bears gang ever since. He’s thrilled to finally get to sing a love song with Teddi, much to the dismay of his old friend Henry.

Wendell

Ernest the guy

Ernest the Dude is one of the best-dressed bears visitors will see at Grizzly Hall. He carries his entire wardrobe with him wherever he goes. For those keeping score, that’s 17 trunks filled with 30 coats, 40 pairs of pants, 60 shirts, 20 hats and a pair and a half of underwear.

Terrence, aka Shaker

Ernest and Trixie aren’t the only actors in the bear troupe. Terrence, aka Shaker, was once a famous theater star until a fall from the balcony in “Romeo and Juliet” brought the house down, literally.

Since that fateful night, he’s traded in his tights for a guitar and created a signature dance move that he’s been using ever since. But don’t worry about Terrence. Despite his face that only a mama bear could love—and his perpetual bachelorhood—he’s ready to launch his film career.

Romeo McGrowl

Speaking of starting a new chapter, one bear is ready to enter his next era of rockabilly singing. Of course, I’m referring to none other than Miami serenader himself, Romeo McGrowl.

Gomer

Our resident pianist Gomer also knows a thing or two about brand changes. Having been classically trained since he was a child, Gomer’s favorite composition before switching to country and western music was “Night on Bear Mountain.”

Big Al

And of course, what would the Country Bears be without Big Al? Music is in the bear’s blood and he’s been playing guitar since he was a kid.
He was even the bard and ballad singer who lived in the swamps before Disney World was built. After his 25th farewell tour to cities like Paris, Texas, Hollywood, Florida, and London, Ohio, Big Al is a true legend.

Big Al

The new show will feature twangin’ new interpretations of beloved Disney songs across different genres of country music, including bluegrass, pop-country, Americana, rockabilly and more.

To honor Nashville’s musical revues, Walt Disney Imagineering worked with some of the country’s top artists, including country legend and 10-time Country Music Awards Musician of the Year Mac McAnally. As the voice of beloved bear Trixie St. Claire, country singer Emily Ann Roberts added her twangy vocals to “Try Everything” from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Zootopia.” Singer-songwriter Allison Russell and musician Chris Thile shared their talents for Wendell and Teddi Barra’s sweet rendition of “A Whole New World.” In addition to debuting an all-new setlist, the bears will be wearing new outfits worthy of their epic return.
