“I thought she was high or something.”

“I thought she was high or something.”

It’s always a bit shocking that “The boys” is such a success for Prime VideoIt’s a show that’s so overflowing with sex and violence that you’d think people would be disgusted by it by now. But not only is it still a beloved show, but “The Boys” actually attracts some of the best actors in the world to play small roles, like Tilda Swinton. Yes, that Tilda Swinton.

For those who haven’t seen the show, “The Boys” features a character called The Deep. Think Aquaman but a bigger idiot who also has sex with sea life. It was revealed earlier this season that The Deep, played by Chace Crawfordhides his octopus girlfriend in his closet. I told you this show was messed up. But the biggest reveal comes in the opening credits of this episode, as we learn that Tilda Swinton is the voice of the octopus who wants nothing more than to go public with his relationship.

And in a recent interview with the Happy. Sad. Confused. podcast, Chace Crawford opened up about what it was like when he found out Swinton was going to be his scene partner.

“I can’t believe she did that,” he admitted. “I thought she was on drugs or something when they told us.”

He explained that on the day of filming, he was reading his lines in front of an empty tank (the octopus is CGI) and someone off to the side was reading in an “overly dramatic” way. He had no idea that the showrunner Eric Kripke It would be up to Swinton to double these lines.
