Meet mermaids and native fish at the upcoming Artzeum Fish Fun

WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — Befriend a mermaid, get an up-close look at fish and explore the underwater world with the Arts Council Wichita Falls.

On Friday, July 19, 2024, the Kemp Center for the Arts hosts the Artzeum Fish Fun Celebration from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, Inland Fisheries, or TPWD, and other special guests will provide an interactive exhibit for children.

This interactive exhibit includes up-close looks at fish native to local lakes and ponds, a visit from Wichita Theater’s mermaid friends as they swim, and many other kid-friendly activities.

Plus, Kona Ice will be making a special appearance, so be sure to bring your dollars for a refreshing, cool shaved ice.

This event is free and open to the public; no registration is necessary.

Fish Fun is a section of Artzeum 2024, themed “It’s all about fish”. Artezum events will run until August 3, 2024.
