Epworth Park, Belmont County’s ‘Hidden Gem,’ Hosts Meet-Ups

Bethesda, OHIO (WTRF) – Epworth Park is often called the hidden gem of Belmont County.

Also known as “Garden of Oaks,” it was established in 1870 as a Methodist retreat and later became a post of the Chautauqua movement, which was a popular entertainment and education movement in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

The Epworth Park Foundation in Belmont County recently became a new 503(c)(3).

They wanted to talk with what they describe as “like-minded individuals” about ways their organization could move forward, so they arranged a meeting for Thursday night.

“If you want to come and visit us, come and visit us. The people are very friendly, they love their cottages and they will be happy to show you around. Come and visit us.”

Doug Frizzi – President of the Epworth Park Foundation

These chalets are not isolated, so residents only use them from April 1st to November 1st.

Their owners come from California, Arizona, Georgia, Florida and beyond. They host events throughout the year and host weddings.

Epworth Park is located in Bethesda, and for more details visit their website.
