Two arrested after traffic stop found ‘significant amount’ of drugs: GCSO

GEORGE COUNTY, Miss. (WKRG) — Two people were arrested Saturday after a traffic stop led deputies to find “a substantial amount of narcotics,” according to the George County Sheriff’s Office.

Lasean Bryant, 53, of Lucedale, was arrested after a traffic stop and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, authorities said. He was given a $200,000 commercial bond.


Tarrin Silva, 40, of Lucedale, was the second person arrested and was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance. Silva was given a $15,000 commercial bond and is no longer in jail.

GCSO officials said this is an ongoing investigation.
