Arsenal FPL 2024/25 Best Players

Arsenal FPL 2024/25 Best Players

The 2024/25 edition of the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) is well underway and players have until August 16 to select their initial 15-man squad. Putting together that first selection is a little more difficult this season, given how prices seem to have increased across the board.

In particular, many Arsenal players are now commanding these high price tags, and it’s not as easy to get them on board as it used to be. Regardless, now that the club is recognised as one of the strongest teams in the league, it’s still worth shopping around for a few assets from the north London club.

From an Arsenal fan’s perspective, here are three reliable starters who should play a key role for the Gunners this season and should subsequently provide good value to your FPL teams.

Kai Havertz

After a difficult start to his career as a Gunner, Havertz came under immense pressure from fans and critics alike. But, towards the middle of the season, his transition to a new role as a striker redefined his value to the team. In 12 league starts in that position, the German registered an impressive eight goals and six assists.

A complete skill set, consistent performance and game-changing moments: Havertz has become exactly what Arsenal fans have been looking for. Reports have confirmed that the 25-year-old will end up being the starting number nine in the future.

Havertz is now classified as a striker for this season, meaning he will earn fewer points for some returns. Nevertheless, he is still worth trying to bring in. The £8.0m price tag is decent, considering he is a starting striker for one of the most prolific attacking teams in the league. Furthermore, his FPL points total of 180 for last season was the 4th highest among his teammates, despite playing in difficult positions for half the season.

It won’t be easy to compete with the likes of Erling Haaland, Ollie Watkins and Aleksandr Isak for FPL ownership, but at least it means he could make a difference. It’s worth considering if there’s room in your front three.

William Saliba

Mikel Arteta’s system changes took Arsenal’s defence to a whole new level last season. The team conceded just 29 goals in 38 games, keeping 18 clean sheets.

Of course, Arsenal’s defensive assets have skyrocketed for the new season, but it’s still worth investing in what was previously a very valuable backline. The player who immediately stands out is Ben White, who is the most expensive option at £6.5m. The extra fee, coupled with the potential rotation opportunities with Jurrien Timber and Takehiro Tomiyasu, means he’s probably one to avoid at the moment. Similarly, many would think that Timber at £5.5m would offer the best value for money given his quality and versatility, but now, with the potential arrival of Riccardo Calafiori, the Dutchman’s minutes could be inconsistent.

That leaves the formidable central defensive duo of Saliba and Gabriel, both valued at £6.0m. The latter option is seen as a stronger goal threat from set pieces; Gabriel scored an impressive four goals last season. However, not only has Saliba scored more FPL points (164) than the Brazilian (149), he is also slightly more reliable for regular minutes.

At the start of last season, Gabriel was benched in favour of a slightly altered tactical setup with Partey at right-back. Calafiori could join Timber, Kiwior and Tomiyasu as additional options to support similar systems. Arteta could surprise his opponents, and it could come at the expense of Gabriel’s minutes. On the other hand, Saliba has consistently maintained his role in the team, playing every minute of all 38 Premier League games. For a reliable Arsenal defender, this would be your best bet.

FBL-ENG-PR-ARSENAL-BORNEMOUTH

Arsenal star Bukayo Saka is worth £10 million for the new FPL season, making him Arsenal’s most expensive asset and the fourth most expensive in the game. It’s a big investment, but one that comes highly recommended. It’s the highest value he’s ever reached in the game, and his steady price rise over the years to double-digit prices is testament to the ability of his talent.

With 20 goals and 14 assists in 47 total appearances, the 23-year-old is the highest earner of any other Arsenal player. His 226 FPL points in the 2023/24 campaign are more than several top players such as Mohamed Salah and Erling Haaland.

Don’t be surprised if he breaks his own production record again in the coming season. Of all the options Arsenal have to choose from in FPL, you won’t find a better one than Saka.
