Former President Donald Trump vowed Friday to hold another campaign rally in the same part of Pennsylvania where he survived an assassination attempt less than two weeks earlier.

Trump said the upcoming rally in Butler would honor Corey Comperatore, a firefighter killed in the July 13 attack, as well as others who were injured.

“FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT!” Trump wrote in an all-caps message on Truth Social announcing the rally, referencing the three words he uttered to his supporters in the moments after the shooting.

Trump’s message released Friday afternoon did not specify when or where the rally will take place. The Trump campaign is planning to hold indoor rallies in light of the assassination attempt, sources close to the campaign told NBC News.

The US Secret Service reportedly advised the campaign to stop holding outdoor rallies.

Trump suffered a minor ear injury in the incident, which he and his former White House physician, now-Rep. Ronny Jackson, believe was caused by the assassin’s bullet.

FBI Director Christopher Wray said Wednesday that Trump’s injury could have been caused by shrapnel, angering allies of the Republican presidential candidate.

Trump also lashed out at Wray, writing in another post published Friday on Truth Social that the director’s remarks were “so damaging to the great people who work at the FBI.”
