A Frontier Airlines pilot was arrested and taken into custody just before takeoff on a flight he was scheduled to take. The pilot, Seymour Walker, was wanted on assault and domestic violence charges by the Department of Public Safety. Video taken inside the terminal shows the pilot being handcuffed and led off the plane at Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH).

The flight to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) was canceled because Frontier was unable to provide a replacement crew member, according to ABC 13. Passengers were deplaned before the pilot was arrested. Passengers were given the option of a full refund, airline credit, or a seat on the next available flight. Additionally, Frontier provided hotel accommodations (for passengers who needed them) and a $100 flight voucher.

Anthony’s take: I can’t comment on the pilot’s mandate or this situation, but it has to be something to be taken off the plane and then see a pilot taken away in handcuffs.
