Hamas announces the start of the process of electing a new leader

The Hamas terrorist organization announced Saturday evening that it had begun the process of electing a new leader to replace Ismail Haniyeh, who was killed in Tehran this week.

They said the assassination of their former political leader “will only increase the strength and determination of the Hamas movement to continue on its path and approach.”
