Trump claims Mark Zuckerberg called him and told him he wouldn’t support Democrats

Donald Trump claimed that Meta owner Mark Zuckerberg contacted him to let him know that he admired Trump’s response to the assassination attempt on him and that he would not support Democrats in the upcoming election.

Trump made the comments during an interview on Fox News, noting: “I was called by Mark Zuckerberg yesterday, the day before… He actually announced that he couldn’t endorse a Democrat, because he couldn’t because he respected me for what I did that day.”

Trump added that Zuckerberg told him he thought the reaction of standing up after being shot was “brave,”“even if Trump considers it to be simply a “normal response”.

Trump also claimed that Zuckerberg “actually apologized, he said he made a mistake,” because Facebook initially censored the iconic image of Trump raising his fist in the air.

The “error” apparently comes from someone modifying the original image.

“I believe Mark Zuckerberg,” Trump said again, explaining, “he’s called me a lot, they’re working on it, and I think they’ve got it fixed, and he’s not doing what he did four years ago with the $500 million,” referring to the massive grants Zuckerberg gave to nonprofits that support Democrats four years ago.

Trump added that “no one called Google” after it emerged that search results for the assassination attempt had been removed.

Google has been very bad,” Trump continued, adding, “They’ve been very irresponsible. And I have a feeling that Google is going to be about to shut down. “I don’t think Congress is going to accept it. I really don’t think so. Google has to be careful.”

As we previously highlighted, Zuckerberg admitted that he thought Trump’s reaction to the failed assassination attempt was one of the most “badass” things he’s ever seen.
