This year, the hip-hop legend is an Olympic correspondent for the American television network NBCand it seems he’s become friends with Biles – who won three gold medals and a silver this year – in the process.

Biles and Snoop reunited yesterday (August 9) to watch the Track event, with Biles’ sister now revealing that Snoop gifted their dad a Death Row Records chain for his birthday.

On her Instagram story, Adria Biles shared a photo of her father wearing the chain, along with the caption: “Snoop gave him a chain and now he doesn’t know what to do.”

Snoop took over the iconic Death Row Records label in 2022 and has vowed to โ€œreturn the label to its former glory, championing artists, hip-hop, and cannabis culture.โ€ He recently fulfilled part of that mission by opening his first marijuana grocery store in Los Angeles, which will carry the Death Row Records cannabis brand he launched in January 2023.

Snoop Dogg was one of the headliners at this year’s Olympics in the French capital, carrying the torch as he marched through the streets of Saint-Denis to the Stade de France, where the sporting events are taking place.

He was also seen swimming with Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps. In one video, the Long Beach rapper compared his physique to the legendary swimmer and then tried to learn proper pool technique from him.

Last weekend, Snoop and Martha Stewart attended an Olympic dressage event in matching equestrian gear to celebrate the chefs’ birthday. During the competition, he revealed that he’s “always been afraid of horses.”

He said in a video: “I’m interested in dancing horses and I want to feed them carrots and apples… make sure they’re fed before they do their thing.”

Earlier this week, the rapper dropped a dressage-inspired freestyle after watching a video of a horse named Maxima Bella doing a dressage routine to his 1994 hit โ€œGin & Juice.โ€

In 2021, Snoop commentated the dressage event at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics with comedian Kevin Hart for the streaming service Peacock. At the time, he was fascinated by a horse that walked “on horsehair.”

โ€œThat horse is out of control,โ€ Snoop laughed. โ€œI gotta film that son of a bitch.โ€

In other news, Snoop Dogg recently claimed that the late Queen Elizabeth II “was a fan” of his. Capital FM When host Jordan North told him that “the future king, William, is a huge Snoop fan,” the Doggfather replied, “Well, the queen was a fan too.”

He added: “Rest in peace, the Queen, she was my daughter. You know what I mean? So, maybe I’ll go and see what I’m going to do… whether they’ll let me in or not.”

In other Olympics news, Charli XCX has announced a performance with Billie Eilish at the Closing Ceremony tomorrow (August 11).
