New Arcane Season 2 Trailer Lights the Spark of Civil War

Now that we’ve had some time to process the shock that the long-awaited second season of the incredible Fortiche series League of Legends prequel Esoteric will be the last, we can start preparing ourselves for the world of hurt that is about to come to Cait, Vi, and Jinx, as well as the rest of Piltover and Zaun. Because if this new trailer is any indicator, a lot of extremely crazy stuff is ready to be sent Esoteric left with a hell of a bang.

This morning, Netflix released our best look yet at the sequel to Fortiche’s surprise hit first season, which launched in 2021 and was hailed not only for its incredible animation work, but also for the way it deftly managed to introduce the world of the massive MOBA. League of Legends to an audience that had never touched the game before. The climax of the first season saw a surprise assault on the ruling council of the lavish, technologically advanced city of Piltover by Jinx (To fall Sensation Ella Purnell) has disrupted plans to ease tensions between her and her neighboring town, Zaun, and now things are not only back on the edge, but poised to tip straight into civil conflict.

With Cait and Jinx’s sister Vi (Katie Leung and Hailee Steinfeld, respectively) now firmly on Piltover’s side to bring Jinx in as she becomes a rising symbol of Zaun’s aspirations for independence, it looks like Jinx and Vi’s divergent paths are set to collide once again… and no one is particularly likely to come out the other side without a little blood and bruises, or worse.

Esoteric returns to Netflix one last time in November. While we wait to discover WhenExactly, Netflix and Riot also marked the release of the trailer with the launch of the first song from Esoteric The Season 2 soundtrack, “Paint the Town Blue,” a collaboration with Ashnikko.
