Artificial intelligence at the centre of Shropshire Chamber of Commerce event

The Introduction to AI for Business – Microsoft CoPilot session will take place on 16 October at the Chamber’s Telford offices, Stafford Park, from 9:30am to 12:30pm.

Hosted by Stuart Ford of Software Skills Limited, the interactive session will explore the impact of AI in business and delegates will learn how to apply this powerful technology to their own day-to-day operations.

Alex Brown, Training and Development Facilitator at Shropshire Chamber of Commerce, said: “If you’re interested in getting started with AI and are keen to understand its potential, this session is the perfect place to start.

“You will gain a basic understanding of what AI really is and discover how it is revolutionizing business operations.

“Stuart will help delegates understand how AI can be used to good effect in the workplace, and you will discover how to get started and how to choose the right AI platform that fits your individual needs.

“You will learn how to write effective prompts and how to make the most of AI. To get the most out of the practical aspects of the session, delegates are advised to bring their own laptop.”

It’s part of a busy training programme for Shropshire Chamber of Commerce this autumn. Another highlight is the second ‘Imposter Syndrome’ session which will take place on 15th October, also at the Chamber’s offices in Stafford Park, from 9.30am to 12pm.

“It is designed to enable participants to recognise, understand and effectively manage imposter syndrome, and is being run again following the success of our first pilot session earlier this year,” Alex said.

“Through engaging discussions, introspection and practical exercises, participants will gain the confidence and tools to overcome feelings of self-doubt to help them reach their full potential.

“Regardless of your profession, if you have ever felt like an imposter and doubted your own abilities, this workshop could help you change your perspective.”

Further courses will be available in the coming weeks, including sessions on the fundamentals of health and safety, marketing, sales and a series of international trade training sessions covering importing, exporting and customs.

Alex said: “If you’re looking to book a place on one of our courses in October, act quickly – some sessions, including how to become a powerful guest speaker, fire prevention and awareness, and excellent customer service, are already fully booked.”
