Montgomery County Public Schools Considers Dual-Language Immersion Academy

CHRISTIANSBURG, Virginia – The Montgomery County School Board is hosting a work session with a special presentation.

The council will hear from the administrator of gifted programs on a bilingual immersion academy.

The academy would allow Montgomery County students starting in kindergarten to attend school and learn 90 percent of the day in Spanish and 10 percent in English.

It would be the same program as in the rest of the state.
