Bride Shares Hilarious Video From Her Unconventional Wedding Night: ‘Dream’

One woman documented a much less glamorous part of her wedding night: the feast after it was over.

A video posted to TikTok by Lonnie (@lonniegal) has gone viral after she revealed what she and her new husband did after checking into their hotel room following the wedding reception: room service.

Lonnie, 27, spoke to Newsweek about the viral moment, seen by 2 million people, and how much she enjoyed the moment after a day of immaculate beauty.

“The only video I have from the hotel after our wedding,” Lonnie captioned the video, which shows her and her new husband eating club sandwiches in their hotel room. In a duplicate video she posted with a song over it, Lonnie captioned the video, “My favorite animal is my husband and I on our wedding night.”

Lonnie said she and her husband fell into the common trap of not finding time to eat during the reception.

“Everyone told us to eat at our wedding, but of course we ended up having too much fun drinking, dancing and spending time with our families, and we skipped dinner,” she said. “So of course, when we got back to our room, my mother-in-law sent us room service and we snacked and talked about what an amazing day we had.”

The unfiltered moment was a hit with viewers, who commented on the video with congratulations and their own wishes for a similar wedding. “My dream wedding night,” wrote @kraazykoozie.

Lonnie said they got married on the Greek island of Corfu, surrounded by 30 of their relatives.

Although they had big plans for a destination wedding far from their home in Washington DC, the couple never actually saw the venue before arriving for the big day.

“We had Zoom calls and meetings with the resort, but we still didn’t know what to expect,” she said. “The place exceeded our expectations and it was beautiful.”

The venue is also famous for another reason. The couple noticed while watching Love Is Blind UK that the resort where the singles go was the venue for their wedding.

“Good laughs, good times,” Lonnie said.

Today, Lonnie and her new husband are settling into life as a couple after a whirlwind marriage.

“We had the wedding blues after spending our summer in Europe, but we’re excited for what’s ahead,” Lonnie said. “Sharing food and enjoying great cocktails is something that brings my husband and I together, so we hope to create more content like that.”
