Kentucky rape survivor slams Trump for overturning Roe in hard-hitting new Harris ad

Kentucky rape survivor Hadley Duvall narrates a new Harris campaign ad in which she harshly criticizes former President Donald Trump for overturning the election law. Roe v. Wade.

During his tenure in the White House, Trump appointed three Supreme Court justices who voted to overturn the landmark 1973 decision that made abortion a constitutionally protected right. That decision was overturned in the summer of 2022.

In the ad, Duvall recounts how she was abused by her stepfather from the age of five and how he impregnated her when she was 12 before Roe deer was overthrown.

Duvall said that meant she “had options.”

“Because Donald Trump overthrew Roe v. Wade“Girls and women have lost their right to choose. Donald Trump did that,” she added. “He took away our freedom.”

The ad uses the song When the party is over by Billie Eilish, who announced her support for Vice President Kamala Harris on Tuesday.

“We are voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz because they are fighting to protect our reproductive freedom, our planet and our democracy,” she said in a video shared on X.

“We cannot let extremists control our lives, our freedoms and our future,” his brother Finneas O’Connell said in the video.

“Vote like your life depends on it, because it does,” Eilish added.

Duvall’s ad is set to air during the WNBA playoffs, the first of the season. Survivor, And Hello America on ABC, The hill noted. It will also air on Bravo and HGTV.

Duvall is also participating in a Harris campaign tour in Pennsylvania focused on reproductive rights. She also spoke at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago last month.

Harris posted the video on X, writing: “After their bodies are violated, survivors of rape and incest are told they cannot make decisions about what happens to them next, all because of Trump’s abortion ban.”

“It’s immoral. Women and girls like Hadley deserve better,” she added.

Duvall had previously appeared in an ad for what was then the Biden campaign, before President Joe Biden dropped out of the race, taking aim at former President Donald Trump’s running mate, J.D. Vance.

Duvall said in the previous ad that “the first thing I was told when I saw that positive pregnancy test was that I had options.”

“What if Roe v. Wade “If it had been cancelled earlier, I wouldn’t have heard this and it made me think there was someone who wouldn’t hear this now,” she added at the time.

“Trump and JD Vance don’t care about women, they don’t care about girls in this situation,” she said.
