WARNING: The images and details below may be disturbing.

The California Highway Patrol has released video of the incident involving former Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Julio Urías and his arrest on suspicion of domestic violence outside the city’s BMO Stadium after an LAFC soccer game.

The footage, obtained by the Los Angeles Times, was released months after Urías pleaded not guilty to a domestic violence charge, and it corroborates the accusations against the left-handed pitcher as he is seen rushing after his wife and pushing her against a fence.

Urías is also seen grabbing his wife’s hair and shoulders, while passersby try to intervene.

The prosecutor’s office decided to charge Urías with a misdemeanor count of domestic violence despite his arrest on suspicion of aggravated domestic violence.

“Neither the victim’s injuries nor the defendant’s criminal history support a felony charge,” charging documents at the time read.

Urías was sentenced to 36 months of probation and 30 days of community service after pleading not guilty last May. He was arrested in September 2023.

Urías also had to complete a 52-week domestic violence counseling course, pay a domestic violence fund fee, possess no weapons, use no force or violence, pay restitution to the victim and comply with a protection order.

MLB placed Urías on indefinite administrative leave following his arrest outside of the MLS game.

The pitcher also has a story to tell, as Urías was suspended 20 games in 2019 after being arrested on suspicion of domestic violence, although he was not charged in that situation.

Urias spent the first eight seasons of his MLB career with the Los Angeles Dodgers. He finished third in the 2022 National League Cy Young Award voting with a 2.16 ERA, the best in the National League. He was seventh the year before, when he led the major leagues with 20 wins.
