In another shameful incident, an engineering student from Bengaluru was caught filming private videos of women in the university washroom. The accused even circulated the videos on social media. A massive protest broke out on the university campus after the students caught the accused and demanded his arrest.

To top it all off, the accused, aged 21 and a BE student, allegedly threatened to kill the complainants if they caught him red-handed.

He threatened them with dire consequences if they escalated the situation and reported the incident to the university authorities after being caught red-handed. The suspect has been identified as Kushal K, a final-year computer science student from Chikkagollarahatti near Magadi, Deccan Herald reported.

The matter came to light after a few female students noticed Kushal’s phone placed near a toilet stall and shouted, attracting the attention of other students. When the students opened the toilet door, they found Kushal hiding inside. Later, the students took Kushal to the principal who confessed to recording the videos in the toilet.

According to initial reports, the accused student has been arrested. Bengaluru police have recovered at least eight videos from his mobile phone.

The incident caused tension in the villages as hundreds of students, both male and female, gathered on the campus demanding strict action against the accused. The angry students also demanded adequate security measures so that no one can repeat the incident in future.

Bengaluru police said an investigation was underway to ascertain whether the accused student was a habitual offender, the Mint reported.
