Birmingham man charged with murder after police say he killed mother of his child

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – A Birmingham man has been arrested and faces murder charges after police say he killed the mother of his child.

Tremayne Dawon King, 34, was arrested Tuesday, September 24 and charged with the intentional murder of Maria Juan, 27.

Juan was initially reported missing on September 20 after being last seen on the evening of September 19 in the Southside neighborhood of Birmingham.

The next day, police said Juan was found dead at a residence on South 17th Street.

That’s when a The person of interest was taken into custody for questioning.

King was denied bail and is being held in the Jefferson County Jail.
