CAMDEN, SC (WOLO) – A Camden Military Academy employee has been fired after the school was notified of alleged inappropriate social media communication between a cadet, officials said. school.

Officials said the administration was informed of the communication on Monday, September 16.

Additionally, the school resource officer and the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office were notified, while the faculty member was terminated.

In a statement, the AMC administration said: “The AMC is committed to providing a safe learning environment for all of our cadets. The emotional, mental and physical well-being and safety of our cadets have been and always will be our top priority.
