Trump shares Zelensky’s post on TRUTH Social requesting meeting

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on Thursday shared a message from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky asking to meet with him.

“A few days ago we requested a meeting with you, and I really want to hear your thoughts directly and firsthand,” read the message shared on TRUTH Social.

The post describes a recent phone call between Trump and Zelensky as “really good.”

Vice President Kamala Harris and Zelensky held a press conference together on Thursday to discuss the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia.

“In Ukraine, we all want to end this war with a just peace,” the message read. “And we know that without America, this is impossible to achieve.”

Zelensky said he could be in New York on Friday, “which would be a good time” for him and Trump to meet.

“I would really like our meeting to take place, as part of our efforts to help us end this war in a just manner,” he said.
