Marvel's Vision Series Would Bring Back Two Surprising Characters, And In An Even More Surprising Way

While Agatha throughout continues to win over audiences, Disney+ is taking steps to ensure another upcoming Marvel TV show is also a success. So far, we’ve heard that the Vision series, which has yet to be officially titled, will bring in Terry Matalas as showrunner, and James Spader will also return as Ultron. Now it looks like two actors from previous Marvel projects are joining, and if that’s the case, I’m very excited.

If you’re a fan of little characters getting another chance to shine, you’re in luck. The latest news from spoiler account @MyTimeToShineHello indicates that we will see two notable actors joining the cast of Visionand I’m intrigued as to why this is, assuming it’s true.

James D’Arcy would return as Edwin Jarvis

Years ago we wrote that we never expected to see James D’Arcy reappear as Edwin Jarvis in Avengers: Endgame. It is now reported that the character who gained notoriety in Agent Carter will come back again in Visionalthough no further details are known beyond that. Jarvis was, as readers may know, the human inspiration for Tony Stark’s artificial intelligence, JARVIS.

So the character on which an AI was based and then became Vision is now part of the series. My head is already spinning, especially since Paul Bettany plays Vision, which only makes it even more complicated. Maybe Vision has memories that Jarvis had since part of his makeup as a sentient being is rooted in AI programming? I could see that making sense…maybe. Fortunately, Terry Matalas is an acclaimed sci-fi showrunner and can probably make it easier for audiences to understand.

Kerry Condon would be back FRIDAY

Kerry Condon took over as the MCU’s resident AI during Vision’s creation and was known to Tony Stark and others as FRIDAY. For years we’ve heard her voice in various films, but now it’s reported that Condon will play a human version of her. character in Vision. No further details are given beyond that, so we have to speculate.

I’m happy to hear that Condon might return, especially since she thought her role was dead with Tony Stark. I find it very interesting that the rumor refers to her as FRIDAY and not the person the AI was based on. This makes me wonder, is Vision on a mission to bring artificial intelligence to life around the world? Maybe I’m going a little too far with this one, but what are the chances that two tech-related characters will appear in this one? What’s next, will we find out that Todd Stashwick also plays someone related to technology?

We still have time before Vision is available on Disney+, and it’s unclear whether or not these rumors are true. As such, we can only wait for more updates. And of course, keep watching Agatha throughout Wednesday!
