RFK Jr. allegedly grabbed NY Mag’s Olivia Nuzzi’s hand during interview in ‘scary’ moment: report

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. allegedly grabbed reporter Olivia Nuzzi’s hand as she interviewed him last year before they began their alleged sexting exchange, according to another reporter who called the decision a “scary” ex-presidential candidate.

Kennedy, 70, and Nuzzi, 31, were hiking during New York Magazine’s interview for her November 2023 profile of the nominee when he allegedly grabbed her hand, according to multiple sources who recounted the incident at Vanity Fair.

Nuzzi then revealed details of what happened to a colleague who claimed to have had a similar “scary” encounter with the Kennedy scion, the outlet reported.

Multiple sources said Kennedy grabbed Nuzzi’s hand during an interview. P.A.

Nuzzi declined to comment on the incident. Kennedy did not immediately respond when reached for comment.

But the alleged incident raises questions about Kennedy’s allegations that Nuzzi was the instigator and aggressor of their scandalous online romance.

The politician said he was considering legal action against Nuzzi since news of their digital tryst broke, with a mutual friend claiming she allegedly ‘bombarded’ him with nude photos for several months.

The two reportedly began speaking some time after Nuzzi’s report on the then-independent presidential candidate was published in New York Magazine.

The political journalist has since been placed on leave from the publication and the magazine apologized in a statement after editors were informed of their relationship last Thursday.

Nuzzi claimed that “the relationship was never physical” and Kennedy’s team said the two had only met in person once — for the story last fall.

Kennedy has since hired security expert Gavin de Becker to investigate the saga with a possible civil or criminal trial to come, according to her friend Jessica Reed Kraus, who knows them both.

Kraus said Kennedy repeatedly tried to block Nuzzi’s number, only for her to continue sending him racy photos while he would periodically unblock her when she said they needed to have “urgent discussions about an imminent hit.

“It has nothing to do with romance,” de Becker said. “He was pursued by porn.”

A person close to the situation told the Post that Nuzzi was “the aggressor” but said “both parties were aware of the high pressure and risk the circumstances posed and for this reason their communication was very intermittent “.

Kennedy — the son of Sen. Robert F. Kennedy and nephew of President John F. Kennedy who supported former Republican President Donald Trump after he abandoned his independent White House bid — is married to the “Curb Your Enthusiasm” actress » Cheryl Hines.

He notably still wore his wedding ring during a recent interview, while Hines, his third wife whom he married in 2014, was seen in public without a ring on her finger.

Nuzzi and her former fiancé, political journalist Ryan Lizza, called off their wedding after her alleged sexting with the 70-year-old politician came to light.
