Micah Parsons had a message for Dak Prescott about his ankle injury

Micah Parsons was taken off the field on a cart during the Dallas Cowboys’ 20-15 win over the New York Giants on Thursday night with an ankle injury. But Parsons doesn’t seem too worried.

The Giants had the ball for a 3rd-and-6 situation with just over three and a half minutes remaining at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ Parsons was rushing at quarterback Daniel Jones and Giants right guard Greg Van Roten fell on the play. Van Roten fell on Parsons’ leg, causing an injury to the Cowboys defensive star.

Left foot, concern for:
-Midfoot sprain
-High ankle (difficult to tell if the defender rolled it into eversion but adapts to the mechanism with the foot planted and the defender’s weight shifting)

Probably undergo imaging to determine if a fracture has occurred

Parsons was taken off the field on a cart without his left shoe. But all signs seem to indicate that the injury is not too serious.

According to Cowboys reporter Jon Machota, Parsons told teammate Dak Prescott “I’ll be good.”

DeMarcus Lawrence (foot) says he’s in pain but he’ll be fine. Micah Parsons (ankle) limped into the locker room, definitely in pain. He told Dak, “Everything will be fine. »

NFL Media’s Mike Garafolo also suggested the injury wasn’t being treated in the Cowboys locker room like it was serious.

Micah Parsons spent time icing his ankle on the #Cowboys‘ training table. Limping a bit but no indication here in the locker room, he suffered a significant injury.

This is probably a relief for Cowboys fans. Parsons had two tackles in the game and has been a force defensively since the Cowboys drafted him 12th overall in 2021. He has accumulated 41.5 so far in his NFL career.
