Danica Patrick opposes transgender athletes in women’s sports – ‘totally unfair’

Former NASCAR driver Danica Patrick has spoken out against the inclusion of transgender athletes competing in women’s sports.

During an interview with former Wall Street investor Codie Sanchez, Patrick shared his strong opinions on the subject, explaining:

“I was a girl in a men’s sport. There are real physiological hormonal reasons why men should not compete in women’s sports. When it comes to strength, power, size, those things are really different “Men have at least 10 times more testosterone than women, which helps build lean muscle mass and gives you size, mass and power, it’s totally unfair.”

Patrick is known for her groundbreaking career in NASCAR, where she became the first woman to earn the pole position at the Daytona 500. Her journey to prominence began with various karting series and single-seater races in Europe before returning to the United States and participate in NASCAR. national series in 2010. For seven years, she competed in nearly 200 NASCAR Cup Series races, retiring from full-time racing in 2018.

Outside of his racing accomplishments, Patrick has recently expressed his political beliefs. She commented during a speech at a Donald Trump event in Las Vegas, as previously reported by Newsweek Sports:

“People didn’t like it. People looked at me like I was a radical right-wing MAGA guy. MAGA has this horrible connotation to a lot of people and you know what? All it did was light a fire.

“I will not be judged for living in America, being a proud American, saying ‘I love America’ and wanting to make America great again. I will not be judged for that. Instead of calming down, I I’m going to speak louder!

“I grew up in a middle-class family. My parents loved their garden, and they still do. But my parents instilled in me some very good values. They instilled in me values like dreaming big, be honest and work hard.”

In a separate interview, the former driver commented:

“Here’s where I stand on SOME current issues and policies. I’m not a liberal. I fall somewhere between Republican and Independent.

“I think our country should be led by someone who knows business and has integrity. I believe we should be able to speak freely.

“I love this country and have lived in other places. I believe that when people of different opinions talk to each other face to face, we realize that we are more similar than different.

“I don’t believe everything people say. Over the years, I’ve been very torn between whether I should give a shit about politics or just live the life I want as a example. I opted for the latter solution. The reaction today is really interesting… since all I said is that I love this country.”
