A Texas woman beat her husband to death after he “hid his Xanax” from her, police in the San Antonio suburb of Universal City said. Constance Seinwill, 61, is accused of murder.

Neighbors called 911 after she knocked on their door and said she may have killed her husband, Ronald Seinwill Jr., 63, according to officers in San’s ABC affiliate KSAT. Antonio, and NBC affiliate WOAI.

“He hid his Xanax from her,” Police Chief Johnny Siemens told KSAT. “At that point, she was already intoxicated.”

She allegedly confessed during a four-hour interview with law enforcement to killing her husband in a fit of rage, although she did not remember the object used to do it. Siemens reportedly said investigators found several items in the home that could be the murder weapon.

They would have argued. She hit her husband, who fell to the ground, police said.

“She continued to hit Ronald after he fell to the ground,” police wrote, according to WOAI.

A neighbor told KSAT that the couple “argued all the time,” even outside.

“We could hear them getting out of the vehicles,” this person explained.

The couple had been together for 40 years, their daughter told KENS5, a local CBS affiliate.

“My father was my best friend,” she says.

Her father had been sober for 23 years, but her mother struggled with alcohol and anxiety, she said. Then his brother died seven years ago.

“This shouldn’t have happened and I’m not sure how to feel,” she said. “But at the end of the day, they are both my parents and I will always love them.”
