Silent Hill 2 is about to be released. We waited what seemed like forever for Konami to pick up this franchise in a meaningful way. After the dissolution of Team Silent, Western developers had access to the development of new silent Hill games. These titles, for the most part, were less than stellar. As a result, the franchise was essentially dormant. But that had recently changed.

Not long ago, Konami revealed that the franchise would be making a comeback. One of the biggest releases planned for the franchise was Silent Hill 2a remake of the classic and most loved installment. Even though Konami wasn’t working on this game in-house, they still created a studio known for delivering horrible experiences. The Bloober team has been working on this project and it is about to be launched in the market. Fortunately, Akira Yamaoka also lent a hand to this remake.

Akira Yamaoka is a composer attached to silent Hill deductible for various installment versions. They were also the composer behind Silent Hill 2 during its initial launch. We know that they returned to offer the music of Silent Hill 2 remake, and we currently have a preview of the different tracks.

A new YouTube video from the manager silent Hill The YouTube channel is almost an hour long and features excerpts from Silent Hill 2 remake. This is connected to a 3-CD box set, although the current pre-order is only available in Japan. However, we can preview recorded tracks again, as well as new arrangements and songs.

Once again we approach Silent Hill 2 release date. The game is expected to launch on October 8, 2024. When the title releases, it will be available on PlayStation 5 and PC platforms. However, it has since been noted that the PlayStation 5 is benefiting from an exclusive offer limited to one year. Subsequently, we can probably expect a release for Xbox Series X/S consoles.
