Victor Osimhen is delighted to have scored his first goals for Galatasaray and took to his social media to send a message of appreciation to the supporters.

Osimhen started a two-man attack alongside Mauro Icardi, and it took him 20 minutes to break the deadlock and added his second eight minutes later with a brilliant half-volley.

His strike partner Icardi added the third goal while Kasimpasa pulled one back before half-time and completed the turnaround with two goals late in the second half.

However, the Super Eagles star’s night ended 45 minutes after he picked up an injury and was replaced by former Napoli teammate Dries Mertens in the second half.

Osimhen sends message to Galatasaray fans

The Nigerian striker was shut out in his first three matches, and although he provided an assist in each of the matches, fans were eager to see him get on the scoresheet.

The goals finally came against Kasimpasa, and as BR Football noted, he held up a Galatasaray jersey with the word “finally” on the back after scoring his first goals for the club.

He took to his Instagram story to send a message to fans to express his joy at the goals, appreciate them for their support and admit he was disappointed with the result.

“It’s a great honor to have scored a double in today’s match, but I’m disappointed that we couldn’t secure the victory. We gave everything and I’m sure we will come back stronger as a team! he wrote.

Osimhen scores the decisive goal

In brief News reported that just eight minutes after his name echoed around RAMS Park, the striker continued his brilliant form, this time with a powerful strike that could only be described as a net breaker.

Osimhen, set up perfectly by Brazilian midfielder Gabriel Sara, finished with aplomb from the edge of the box. Galatasaray added another thanks to a superb strike from Mauro Icardi, before Senegalese striker Mamadou Fall pulled one back for Kasımpaşa.
