Silent Hill 2 fans are counting down to the Early Access release date. Although the game doesn’t officially launch until October 8, Silent Hill 2 Deluxe Edition pre-order customers can start playing 48 hours early. Indeed, the Silent Hill 2 Remake Deluxe Edition has a release date of October 6 on PS5 and PC. Based on the global launch times for the regular edition of the game, UK customers can start playing at midnight UK BST time on PS5 and 5am UK time on Steam. Of course, the Deluxe Edition costs more, priced at £69.99 on PlayStation and PC. Luckily, though, you can get the game for just £62.99 by purchasing discounted PlayStation credit from the CD keys below.

After purchasing a top-up card from CD Keys, the retailer will send you a link with the code that can be used on the PlayStation Store.

Once you’ve added the credit to your PlayStation account, you can grab the Deluxe Edition of the game for £69.99, after spending just £62.99.

In addition to 48-hour early access starting October 6 at midnight, the Digital Deluxe Edition comes with a digital artbook and soundtrack.

This is in addition to a handful of items in the game, including a pyramid head mask, a Robbie the Rabbit mask, and a Mira dog mask.

To ensure you can start playing as soon as the game releases, customers who have pre-ordered Silent Hill 2 can pre-load the game before launch.

The game weighs around 50GB on PlayStation 5, so preloading will definitely save you time, especially if you have a slower internet connection.

Judging by early reviews, the Silent Hill 2 remake was definitely worth the wait. The game is currently doing pretty well with a score of 87% on Metacritic.

It has been described as the best horror game of the year, retaining everything that made the original so great, while modernizing outdated controls and combat.

The Silent Hill 2 remake benefits from improved visuals and audio, as well as various other quality of life improvements.

It also adopts the popular over-the-shoulder gameplay style popularized by other survival horror games like Resident Evil 4.

Indeed, the combat system has been updated with new movements such as the ability to dodge attacks and aim down sights.

Although Bloober Team wanted to keep the spirit of the original and not change too much, fans can also explore new locations and buildings that were previously inaccessible.

“Enjoy the same acclaimed story, while experiencing the town of Silent Hill with fresh eyes on an expanded map,” the company explains.
