I finally know about Emily In Paris season 4 and I have a huge problem with Gabriel's love triangle

Alright…I have to do it rant.

I have been a strong supporter of Emilie in Paris since season 1. The fourth season was released as part of the 2024 TV premiere calendarand of course I couldn’t wait to see what happened next. People love to hate this show, but honestly, it’s one of my comfort shows in a world where I regularly watch dark shows for the content, so yeah, I enjoy my little American in Paris fantasy.

And of course, Emilie in Paris Season 4 gave us some of the usual drama we’ve come to expect from the Emilie in Paris castingbut you want to know what I finally reached my limit at? That fucking Gabriel-Emily-anyone the love triangle is because I have a massive problem with that. So today, in honor of the series being renewed for a fifth season, let’s talk about why this love triangle needs to end.

We waited THREE seasons for them to get together, it all fell apart in three episodes

Emily and Gabriel have always danced around each other for several seasons, since the first episode of Emilie in Paris. They slept together several times, but they were never officially together. However, in season 4 of Emilie in Paris, they end up becoming a couple. Lily Collins even stated in an interview with CinemaBlend that Emily is attracted to Gabriel since he was one of the first to be kind to her in Paris.

But this relationship lasted four episodes.

We waited three and a half seasons for these two to become a couple, and finally, when we got together, they fell apart. I mean, Go on.

What was all this accumulation? I would have been fine if they had broken up, maybe at the end of the season, but after only a few episodes? Where’s the fun in that? The drama? Everything seemed so climactic, only for it to end.

I understand Gabriel’s point of view with Camille – but what he did on the ski mountain is still horrible

Look, the big twist with Camille in season 4 part 1 This was a big deal, and I knew it would have a significant impact on Part 2, but the fact that Emily and Gabriel broke up in the first place because Camille was still lying about her pregnancy after finding out she didn’t was not is so ungodly and aggravating. .

I understand it wasn’t the right time, but Gabriel literally LEFT Emily on a mountain in the middle of France, alone trying to pursue a woman he knew was an experienced skier, all because he believed she was pregnant with his child. Yes, I understand why he did that, but I don’t know. I don’t think anyone should leave their girlfriend unattended on a cold mountain when they have No idea how to get down.

I don’t know; maybe I’m being dramatic, but I was on Emily’s side on this one.

Plus, Marcello is absolutely perfect for Emily

All right, maybe I’m a little biased because I just got back from a two-week vacation in Italy, but Italian men are actually some of the nicest (and most passionate) men around. They truly care about so many things in their lives, as well as the people around them – I would know I was dating one.

This is why I sincerely believe that Marcello is Perfect for Emily when he is introduced in Part 2. He is sweet, kind and handsome and introduces her to a whole new part of Europe, one that she could develop and find a new home. Plus, he works in the fashion industry, which is perfect for a woman who literally works in a marketing company involving high-end products that often include fashion.

I receive such good vibes from Marcello. Honestly, I didn’t like one character in Emilie in Paris much since I started to truly believe that Sylvie is the real star of the seriesbut I want to see SO much more with him.

I really hope Emily AND Gabriel find people who are better suited to them in season 5

In the Emilie in Paris In the season 4 finale, we see that Emily has accepted a temporary position in Rome for her company and is happily dating Marcello. Meanwhile, Gabriel asks Mindy where Emily is in Rome, telling her that he is going after her.

Stop, please.

I’m so tired. I’m tired of this back and forth and “will they, won’t they” type stuff that goes on between these two? each season. I know what you’ll say: “There are so many shows where they have a ‘they want it-they don’t’ relationship!” Why don’t you like it?

Because there is no won’t. With the Friends castingthere was Rachel and Ross, but they had full seasons in which they would date other people. Piper and Alex Orange is the new black also had full seasons where they weren’t together and didn’t show interest in each other. It is possible to make these kinds of relationships work, but they just hammer these love triangles into my brain.

Honestly, I hope Gabriel and Emily find love – but not with each other, at least not for this upcoming season. I want her to be happy with Marcello. Damn, I wish Gabriel would find someone else to change besides her and Camille. And maybe, if it’s meant to be, they’ll meet again in the future. END. But for the love of God, let these two breathe.

I always think Emilie in Paris is one of the best shows to binge watch on Netflix because it’s so much fun and a series where you don’t really have to think too much, but there has to be some changes. And I hope that with season 5 of the series, the love triangle will end, at least for a bit.
