Late this morning, southerly winds will gust at speeds of 30 to 35 miles per hour.

The greatest fire risk is south of the metro.

Temperatures are in the low 80s, well above average for the last days of October.

Because there will still be a bit of a breeze tonight, temperatures won’t drop into the 60s until Tuesday morning.

Winds will really pick up on Tuesday with gusts of 45 to 50 miles per hour.

This means that any fires that do occur will likely quickly get out of control.

Highs will be in the mid 80s in the afternoon before a front arrives overnight.

The chance of storms increases as we approach Wednesday morning, with one or two possibly containing some hail.
