Nigerians React As Top Representatives Reportedly Attack Abuja Bolt Driver, Video Trends

Nigerians have expressed outrage after a video emerged showing Alex Ikwechegh, a member of the Nigerian government House of Representatives represents Aba North and South Federal Constituency where he allegedly assaulted a Bolt driver.

Legit.ng gathered that the driver had arrived at the lawmaker’s residence in Maitama Abuja to deliver a package that placed him in an unlikely situation.

The video, which has gone viral on social media, shows the lawmaker allegedly scolding and hitting the driver after the driver asked Ikwechegh to come out to collect the delivery, The Punch reported.

The lawmaker was heard saying:

‘Do you know who I am? I can make this man (driver) disappear from all over Nigeria and nothing will happen. Can you imagine this rat? I’m not going to give this boy a naira of my money.

“I’m not going to give this boy a naira of my money. I will tie you up, lay you down and put you in my generator house. Do you know where you are? Look at this monkey.’

Nigerians are outraged by the lawmaker’s response

The incident has drawn widespread condemnation from Nigerians who see the lawmaker’s actions as an abuse of power.

Via many were shocked when showing aggression and apparent disregard for the driver’s rights.
